Hi all off to Icmeler next week can any body tell me what the exchange rate is at the moment.

Got 2.48 today in local supermarket

todays rate on post office site for cash was 2.4488 the highest since i have tracked from beginning of april so could still go up a few points yet??

You never get as much at home as you get in Icmeler. We usually just change about £50 at home then the rest in resort.

It's hard to know whether to risk it though. It's more likely for the pound to get worse than get better which in turn has a knock on effect on the lira.

We've bought a bit of money from the Post Office today as it's the highest I've seen it in a while. I wouldn't expect it to go up that much anymore.

just checked the post office site and there rate is 2.4839 so i would have thought that in icmeler it should be about 2.56 very soon.i hope this carries on for the next two weeks we are off on monday.

I think it will drop tomorrow as the money markets have dropped from 2.58 to 2.53 hopefully will increase again. I think the drop is due to the govenor of the bank of England talking down the government policies yesterday. The £ always drops with negative press against the country.

Just in case I have gambled and just purchased £800 at 2.48 which was delivered today, I'm happy with that rate and I've done this purely as we were hit hard last year when the £ dropped below 2.2 in a matter of a couple of weeks.

If £ goes up I still need to change money so great, if it drops I have cut my losses.

Interbank rate is 2.49 at the moment so I would imagine in resort it will be about 2.44

hi all,just got back from icmeler early this morning and the rates in supermarkets were 2.50 for the past week. if they offer you less,just say you will try elsewhere,they will then soon give you the 2.50 you deserve
