Eating late??

Postby D Craddock » 14 Jun 2009 14:24

We arrive in Icmeler on the 27th July at night, about 12.30ish, barring delays etc.
Do you know any place, where we be able to get a meal/snack at that time.
We are staying close to the canal area.
Thanks.

Not sure about a meal but you should be able to get a snack at that time of night, kebabs, pitza specialy round the canal areaetc. You may also get a curtacy stop on the way in from the airport.

You will most probably be able to get a snack at your apartments. Failing that there are plenty of restaurants/bars that are still open at that time of the night. Staff in most apartments are more than happy to arrange something for you. I remember many years ago when we first started going to Icmeler and our daughter would only eat chips (she is still the same to this day and she is now 20!!!) we arrived at the apartments and asked what time does Chef finish, and the answer we got was "Chef never finish" and in about 15 minutes there was a beautiful plate of homemade chips arriving at our table. That is the kind of hospitality shown to most of us in Icmeler.

Food

Postby icmeler14 » 14 Jun 2009 17:19

Hi there I wouldnt bother with buying food at the coach stop if its at Dinlen restaurant think they are too expensive.
There is a lovely restaurant that is open 24/7 its at the back of Idas Hotel and opposite Park Metropol Hotel the food is typically Turkish and all the locals who have finished work go in there for soup, kebabs, pizzas etc.
