Hi. my first time on the forum but I am a regular visitor to the website and Icmeler.
Have just booked 2010 flights - got a fab bargain with Aegean flights £155 return from Newcastle for 4th June!!
We will be staying at the Demircioglu Apartments (Vince's) again as we love it and now feel part of family as we are treated so well by Vince and the lads. We have stayed there for the last 6 years.

We still have this year's holiday there to look forward to and are flying out on the 4th of September - hope it comes around soon as i can hardly wait for my annual Icmeler 'fix'.

We have booked for 14th May for 21 nights and will be in Vinces most nights where we look forward to meeting other members of the forum. Only downbeat point is that due to the late half term break next year we will miss the May boat trip, but at least our kids will not be sending us texts saying they are ashamed of our behaviour when we are let loose on our own :!: :!: Thats assuming John will still have the stamina at the ripe old age of 51 to organise such an event (come to think of it other people do most of the organising anyway)

I didn't think you could book so early. I'd be worried by booking early, that you'd risk having your flight times changed - that would be a big thing for me.

Booked up for three weeks next year with Aegean. Departing 30th July and returning 20th August. This is the cheapest we have ever paid so far.

booked for 2/8/10 to 20/8/10 - not quite the dates we wanted, but these were the best ones on the day the flights were released
paid about the same as for this year

you get a well good deal if you book this far in advance

Postby diesel » 10 Jun 2009 21:57

Booked flights for 2nd june next year for a week, i must admit i am feeling nervous about going alone, i work part time and a full time carer to my child and a few health problems of my own, so i am able to have a week away on my own to relax and re-charge.
just to book apartments im doing my research, on a budget!!
heard good reviews on icmeler so ive took the plunge, alought i do feel a bit guilty that im having a week on my own,

I'm sure you will have a lovely time even though you will be on your own. Icmeler is such a friendly place I'm sure you will find plenty of people to talk to and the locals will take good care of you.

Don't feel guilty, just enjoy. I'm sure you deserve your time away on your own to chill :)

HI diesel

don't be feeling guilty, just make the most of it and think of the tales you'll have to tell when you get back
in some ways, you'll have a better hol travelling on your own
for a week at least you can indulge you, doing what you want and when
seems to me that you've earned it
and though you may be travelling alone, you couldn't have picked a better place to do it
there's lots of friends there that you've just not met yet
including all of us on here
x

i booked for july 2009 last october 2008 ,been counting down the weeks getting more and more excited , BANG 4 weeks to go travel company goes bust.
We were able to get other flights and accommodation for the same dates,
but the sparkle has gone. we have stoped counting down we are waiting till the last gasp to get the holiday lira and just keeping our fingers crossed
nothing else goes wrong. So as for 2010 might just waite till about the day before i go on holiday before i book .
