No pool view please.

Postby shieldfield » 02 Jun 2009 21:15

It's 3 years since we were last in Icmeler and are looking to go again next year. The apartment we stayed in previously had our balcony overlooking the pool and bar area and, as we far prefer to sit on the balcony than round a pool, we felt our privacy was "invaded". So we are looking for a quiet apartment, preferably near the old village or on the outskirts, that can guarantee an apartment with a balcony that has a pleasant view but not overlooking the pool. All suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Shieldfield, can't help am afraid, but ICR will be able to give you the options if you give them a ring on the number at the top of the page?

Thanks Fanny. I'll certainly be contacting them but am also hoping for some personal experience.

once they've given you a list based on what you fancy - location, size etc, you could "search" the forum for the accoms by using the button at the top of the screen?

can't help with the old village, but if you fancy a sea view and near to the beach, friends of ours raved about the Elif last year

mind you, that's a hotel

so maybe my flash of inspiration wasn't quite that

The Mersoy Bella Vista Suites have apartments with mountain views and these are bookable through ICR.

Not in the old village though sorry :(

Hi

we are staying at the Tuncay apartments this year and looking at the apartment details and photos it looks like they have some apartments without a pool view have a look at the link http://www.icmeleronline.com/apart.php?no=72
they are just at the beging of the old village about a 10 min walk to the town centre

greenworld or julian forest is at the end of icmeler in the old village
its quiet and peaceful and they have 2 sides of rooms
one side that looks out on their pools and the other that looks onto the mountains
you can request a pool view or not cause we always have one facing the mountains and its less noisy and the sun is in the balcony in the morning instead of at night when your trying to get ready and its too hot
if you wanna know anymore send me a pm
hope this helps

Brilliant choice, the Rhodes is a favourite of mine, but with elderly parents I can't stay there :(

I do go spend time there around there pool and have lunch there as it's such a lovely place in a lovely setting
