Are you sure that's not the interbank rate, I can't see anywhere on the site to purchase currency.

isn't that the inter bank rate. showing as 2.50 to the £ now, but how do you buy it from them, it looks like a stock market type trading thing.
would be Fab if we could exchange for that amount. But i'm most likely being bit thick (not recovered from footy results yet).

The rate at the moment is about 2.39 - the rate your looking at is the banking rate I think.

I have a few lira left from last September, so I went to the post office today and it cost me £44.42p for 100 ytl.
I cant think how to work that out, so any help would be great. I have had 3 vodka's tonight as I am so excited, got most of my packing done today

The board was showing 2.35 as the exchange rate, so I guess thats what I had.

Hi Mary
i would go back and check with them as that looks like you have only got just over 2.25ytl to the pound @ £44.42 x 2.35 should be 104.39ytl have they charged you a commission
or 100ytl /2.35 should have cost you £42.55

just had a dabble at the post office rate 2.3942 brought a bit,not sure how it will go,the daily express on thursday said dollar and euro would keep going up until late summer, but who knows.
a few years ago i brought quite abit when it was about 2.90 at m&s and felt ok about it then.
if we knew what was going to happen we would not be going to work in the morning ,would just be sat in
icmeler all day counting my proceeds.
only 4 weeks to go

It has actually dropped slight slighty Indicatice bank rate closed at 2.4950 last night went down to 2.4900 this morning and closed at 2.4884 not a big drop but don't wat to risk it as I was only expecting to get 2.30 this year so it's more than I expected and toward the end of my holiday last year I was only getting 2.30.
So now I've been paid I am gonne order mine tonight.
