Hi Lee

any of the small supermarkets will change your money for you and if you use the same one and are changing all your money there they will often give you a better exchange rate not heared of anyone being ripped off and have been there 6 times the one below the ICR office is always reccomended

if you want the best rate any of the small supermarkets will usually change your money for you at a better rate than at the exchange offices
the hotel or apartments your staying at wont have a good rate so dont recommend exchanging there
hope this helps

Lee, if you make the shopkeeper aware that you will change all your money there over the 2 week period you can get a better deal.

I did this before and I got a better deal than just changing £100 for example and fair play, he stuck to the same rate for the whole 2 weeks even though the exchange rate did drop a little.

The supermarket was in Marmaris, as this is where I used to holiday before finding Icmeler.

I just use my Nationwide Flexi Account card now, always a better exchange than in resort and no fee for withdrawals.

Totally agree with swc24, especially about the supermarket under the icr office.

We used this supermarket last year they are very competitive we were just passing and asked him how much rate was he told us (can't remember rate) it was the same as supermarket next to Kurt Apartments so we said we'd come back and think he thought we weren't comeing back so he upped the rate. We were happy with the original rate we just had to get some money from the ATM to exchange. So remember this supermarket is open to negotiations.

Also if you are takeing sterling, I have heard you can get a good rate if you hand all your sterling over at once so if you handing over nearly £2000 then the shopkeeper can afford to give you a good rate but still make a nice little profit for himself. Never done this myself but may give it a go in June.
