5-6 lira for a full breakfast
meals at night 14 lira depending on what you are looking for!!
we thought it was still very reasonable.

I think alot of people still think you can still go to Turkey and live it up for next to nothing like years ago. While those days have gone there are several threads on here which will tell you that prices are much the same as last year and they were very reasonable compared to the UK or any of the 'eurozone' countries. As long as you go not expecting too much you should still be pleasantly surprised!
8 days and counting!!

So in sterling, that is roughly (at the current exchange rate);

1.30
2.50
6.00

That looks more than reasonable to me :)

We didn't find it any more expensive than last year and if you look around you can find some quite cheap meals especially up in the old village. Up near the Faber there is a place doing a set meal for 10 lira and even near the main drag think it was near Wonderboys can't remember the name just across the road they were doing 3 courses for 17 lira and a cheap night is Nefis Pide for Turkish Pides, we had 2 turkish pides and a bowl of mixed salad for 14 lira, they dont sell drinks though but ideal if you go early and then out for drinks afterwards.

No problem taking liquids and food into Dalaman. As already said prices still very high at Dalaman. I have to say there was a rather large queue at McDonalds. Many people are paying the high prices and whilst that is happening the prices will not come down. People weren't just buying a drink from there or a portion of fries they were buying full meals and for up to 4 people at a time.

Prices in Marmaris and Icmeler we found roughly the same as last year.

A friend of mine has just come back from Majorca and they had two portions of chips with mushy peas to take away and they were charged 9 euro.

Compared with Majorca Icmeler and Marmaris are very cheap.

The prices do seem rather expensive but when you are faced with a wait in the terminal, followed by a 4hr+ flight with only an inflight meal to fill you - people will pay the extra for some food or drink.
