Turkish bath question..

Postby kingtut » 17 May 2009 19:55

Hi all.

Myself and the better half were talking about Turkish baths, as my wife never fancied it, but i do. She is going to go for one this year, and as we were talking about it my eldest asked if he could come, and to be honest i wasnt sure if they could or not??

Now i cannot seem to remember seeing any kids when i have been before, and as such not too sure if there is an age limit for this.

My boys are 9 & 11.

Any ideas??

Cheers

I don't think there is an age limit as long as the parent are there. When we stayed at Grand Aquarium who have there own Tuskish Bath you could see families going in.

We had a turkish bath two years ago when we were in Icmeler. In fact I think it was at the Club Aquarium.
My hubby, 12 year old daughter and I loved it, however my 8 year old son got quite upset when the time came to actually have the bath, massage etc. In the end he sat it out and watched us have our bath and so on. One things for sure, it's certainly not as relaxing when you've got an eight year old standing next to you who keeps asking when it'll be done so we can get back to the pool!

I do think it depends on the childs nature as my son can be quite shy and doesn't like fuss so with hindsight he was never going to enjoy it.

My husband wants to book one as soon as we get to Icmeler this year but I think my son and I will give it a miss. :!:

Lisa i think you're 100% right, about the kids nature as to whether they would enjoy it ir not.

Mine will probably be the same as yours - 1 will and 1 wont.

I would probably miss out the massage for them, but just thinking it might be nice to do it as a family - even though the stress may counteract the massage

Thanks for the replies guys..
