Hi Debs
just this min got back from a week in heaven, its not as quite as it looks on the camera, there are a lot of people there but all they seem to be doing is wallking around in the evening,a lot of the bars are near empty but got to say the Kapisi was banging for the time of year.
There are more and more empty bars, looks like the new mayor has started his clamp down on the entertainment etc. I think this year will see a big change for the better due to the new policies being put in to place regarding the entertainment licence
Rather quickly, apparently bars and travelling entertainers have to meet a certain criteria or whatever, which will cut back the too many bar problem here, also even the "so called" hairdressers, jewellers etc have to prove their qualifications. this will most certainly stop a lot of the cowboy traders.
This guy cares about Icmeler.

thanks for the update Peli - looking forward to your review
sounds like it's good news for Icmeler with the new mayor
we were getting a bit concerned that the new trend in bars seems to be along the "football" lines - LFC Bar, Wembley Bar
lets hope he's got things in hand

I flew back 17th May and thought it was really quiet for the week i was there. As said earlier, lots people walking around, but seemed like most of them all inclusive! even more all inclusive hotels this season, which is really not helping the bars/restaurants. The boat trip i went on was probably around 85% all inclusive customers, some saying cheapest way, some saying less hassle wearing the wristbands  ive lived there past 2 seasons, and to be honest i was hassled more than normal. i think some of the restaurants are really desperate. Rumours that music will be 11.30 instead of midnite and that restaurants cant have entertainment?? not sure if this will go through though!
