Since Barons has now been turned into the LFC bar, does anyone know where the rude man has gone to work?

Only so I can avoid him like the plague

I thought the Baron was still there and that the LFC bar was either behined it or round the corner from it.

I always end up arguing with him - he just winds me up and normally I am a laid back placid person, but he makes me see red.

Last year the Baron man was quite nice to us. We have never been in there but catch the dolmus sometimes near there to Marmaris. He actually flagged it down for us and didn't ask us to go in . :)

We had heard about Barons many years ago and have never been in or intended to following the reports.

September 2003 (2nd Visit to Icmeler) we were walking down the road, there was my friend and I chatting, our wifes and kids had fallen behind us(window shopping) and were about 30 yards back, as we walked past Baron he asked us to come in, we politely said no thankyou and carried on walking when he demanded to know why not, we called back we were going to the Harmony Bar (we had been told about the Stella Show) he shouted back that the place was full of gays and we shouldn't go there, where we turned around walking back to him asking politely what was wrong in being gay and what was wrong with us being a couple, he was completely dumbstruck and shot into the restaurant and all I could see was our wifes doubled over in laughter, we have walked past there frequently since then and he has never said anything to us, must have remembered us over all these years.

Makes me wonder though what he thinks when he see's me arm in arm with a woman and kids in tow.

Dave

p.s. I got the years wrong, my wife thinks it was 2005 (3rd Visit) when this happened, I must be getting old, the memoriy is playing tricks

My wife and 2 daughters ate in there on several occasions last August, the food was lovely and they treated us brilliantly. They even put on a little birthday surprise for our 2 kids and it wasn't even their birthday.

Baron man used to work in Amutalan, (I'm sure it was it was 2004 dksbbs) we went with 2 other couples and all our teenagers, we were all staying in hotels either side of the restuarant he worked for, the teenagers used to walk around the back dirt track to aviod him when they were walking from and to each others hotels in the end, he was harmless and pleasant, but irritating at the time, Blow me when we saw him in Icmeler a year later! (sept 2005) he remembered us, but He winds me up too, doesn't know when to accept No. I've heard him shout snidy comments to other people, and I don't like it.

Well done dksbbs, I bet there's not a lot of people who can stunn him into silence! really funny, like it!

He will be nice to you if he can get you into his bar !

He was extremely rude to my mum and dad last year, and anyone who know's me will know that if someone is offensive to my parents, there is nothing down for them.

first year we went in to the restaurant, food was good...

2nd visit, he was yelling acros the road to us all the time, and made some snidy remarks.....

so we went over to talk to him, told him we would never come in as he was rude, and we had children with us.....

after that, he said sorry, shook our hand, and always shouted hello......

Hello All,we have eaten at baron on a few ocasions and no problem as jean knew a few of the lads in there from oter restarants, well last year we decided on the first day to have a wandder before we ate and as we were staying at Vince,s had to walk past baron,he decided to have a pop at us,for not eating there well as some of you may have realised i am a big bloke so i told him in no uncertain terms that there was no way we would be eating there, dont get the impression that i was looking for an argument its just that we eat where we choose, sorry for being so long winded but he does really annoy me

You'd think he'd learn Jeffg wouldn't you? but going by the comments he hasn't. Shame he's only nice if you eat there, but even then I was embarrassed as a customer listening to him hurl insults at passers by. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Thank goodness we only popped in for ice cream! first and last visit.

It's a real pity he's like that to be honest because when you get in there the food is awesome, but he did treat our kids like royalty, maybe he needs a middle line
