Hi

This is the first time I have used this site. Its brill, love it. I visited icmeler in July 07 with my husband, son and my mum and dad said at the Kleopatra Aparts and had a good time. Booked to come back again in July this year me, my husand and 13 year old son staying at the Bilnur aparts. Unfortunately my dad passed away at Christmas and my mum decided she would like to come with us. She couldn't get in at the Bilnur so is staying at the Siesta Hotel. Does anyone know how far away these two hotels are - I am concerned my mum will be on her own. Looking forward to coming though. Very excited.

hiya

I stayed in the Bilnur a few years ago, very nice apartment. Can't remember the exact facilities but it roomy and the staff were brill. We had the attik room and had a bad rainstorm one night (I didn't mind it was very refreshing) and rain leaked in a little bit through the roof. Old village wasn't a built up as it is now and I would say you are no more than 10 mins stroll away from where your mum is staying. Also stayed at the Siesta Hotel too, part of the hotel is AI the rooms are basic and clean with plenty or room. And breakfast is served out by the pool.

Thanks for your help. Mum is worrying eveyday if she will be ok on her own. First time away since Dad died. Sure she will be. Last time we cam to Icmeler we went on a boat trip - think it was through the tour operator - it was FANTASTIC the captain of the boat at every stop did acrobatics. One time he climbed to the top of a hill and did a head stand. has anyone else been on this trip.

We stayed at the Siesta last year, and our friend is going back there on her own in May. Tell you Mother no to worry the manager is great and so are his staff, she will be well looked after and as you say it is in the centre of town, and on the level. You need to go down some steps to the dining room and pool and bar area but if you cannot manage the staff have a way of their own they will take you so no worries!!!
