Hi torreslfc
Had the same prob last year when in Icmeler. We were able to buy a small fan in the local shop for a reasonable price and then when we left to come home we just passed it on to a newly arrived couple. Not expensive to buy and you may be lucky and be able to borrow one from reception if anyone leaves one behind

in august this might not be suffcient , my advice for what its worth is ,balcony door open ,net curtain across, cold shower as often as you need it,in the pool to cool off , but watch your barnet!!!!!! cold bottle of water . some pool areas have showers also,i used them alot. also the breeze on the beach. enjoy, but be sensable bill atkinson

We had air con just in the bedroom last year and were fortunate to be able to leave it on even when we went out. I know a lot of apartments etc. don't allow this (our maid kept turning it off), but we found it more than enough. And that was August, i kept turnng temp up at night and hubby kept turning it down

I bought a small desk top one off a carboot sale, very light, and put it in my hand luggage. We always have aircon, but this was handy in the lounge area for when I was putting my makeup on in the evening etc, very cheap.

We stayed at Kurt Apartments they hire them out. We only found this out because we paid for the air con but when they gave us the key to turn it on it didn't work so they gave us a big fan instead it was a really powerful one, actually found it better than the aircon so told them we didnt want the air con so the fans were slightly cheaper to rent so they refunded us the difference.

hi Sarah
glad you've got sorted re the fans
we also take freezer blocks with us and if it's REALLY hot, we all go to bed hugging one each - seems to do the trick

There is a Fan shop in the old village facing the fruit and veg wholesalers i bought a massive one on a stand 3 speed last sept it only cost £15 and chap re buys it back at the end of your stay .i took it back after a fortnight and sold it back for £7.50 so it only cost me £7.50 to hire a massive powerful fan for a fortnight .compared with the £3 per night our
hotel wanted it was cheap.

Birdy,Did you have to sneak it into the apts so the owners wouldnt see your big fan, dont think they would be too pleased using the extra electric for free.Ive always thought about buying a big fan out there like you did,but thought I would get stopped taking one in!!.

If its one of the properties that we sell then there will definitely not be a problem.
You have peid for the electricity in advance in your booking so no problem

We are staying at the Club Sun Village so i'm hoping they won't mind if i use a fan

.We usually holiday in
