Posted: 03 Mar 2009 19:05Does anyone know if you want to trade a piece of gold previously bought in Icmeler for a new piece do you need to have the guarantee card they give you when you buy it or can you trade without it??

They will look at the diamond and will be able to test the carat weight with a special gems testing "thing", don't worry they won't need to dismantle anything!
I think you also get allowed a bit more if you've got your eye on another piece to trade it for rather than just wanting the cash.
Of course you could always visit several jewellers to get prices to compare... everyone's got their favourites, there is a thread here somewhere about jewellers.
