Jimmys or Okimo Bar

Postby marjorie arnold » 08 Feb 2009 22:48

Erik,
If you come out of the main entrance to the Efes Inn, cross over the road with Havanna bar on your right. Go down that little road with the canal on your left and Jimmy's/Okimo bar is about 50yds down there on your right. He has had this bar since 1987 which speaks for itself and as Bill said he is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. His food is very good and freshly prepared. Give it a try next time you are in Icmeler.

Another one for Jimmy's here.

He is the nicest most genuine guy I think i've met, and his food is always spot on.

He was the first person who remembered me and my wife on our second visit to Icmeler, even though we had only been in his place a couple of times 18 months previous.

I have to agree about the Chef restaurant. The atmosphere has changed and they seem to want you in to eat and straight out. Our friend Recep worked there for years but he was not around last year as he got married in Holland, so for us it was not the same anyway, but definitely the place has changed.

I have to agree that recep and serhat are a big miss. We ate at chef and the meals were good as always but the atmosphere is very different now.
Set restaurant, Wayside and also Tommys in the old village are good places to eat.

Is that Moonlight just off the main road near Tansas? If so it used to be lovely, but since it exteneded, it has lost it's charm, and we have not been for a while.
