Demircioglu Apartments are the only ones I have stayed in, been there twice and will definitely go back.
My only one criticism is the rooms are at the front, so you do tend to hear the traffic in the morning - otherwise they are ideal, great location, great food, great staff.

I think that you will receive about 100 different answers to thew question as we all have differing tastes/likes

I have not stayed at the Iguana Apartments although I have been shown round them and they look fabulous, plenty of home comforts

We've tended to stay at wherever is the cheapest as we like to spend our money elsewhere haha! That's student life for you :)
So, anywhere near to amenities with a clean room and air con pleases us!!
Ahh what it is to live the high life :P

Ditto !!

We stayed there last october and loved it, booked up for this June too.

Tolga and Ilter are so lovely and Momma and Uncle Chris (Mustafa) from over at Tucay are lovely and make you feel part of the family. Momma would give us fresh pommegrante every day or oranges round the pool bless her.

Pool is great (hoping it's warmer in June than it was in October  ) rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. They've all been painted up fresh for this season, they were doing it when we were there and they look really clean and fresh.

My only gripe (and it's not a big one) is if you do go is take a few plastic picnick plates with you as the crockery is scarse or tiny. Luckilly we knew this and took some with us and bought mugs out there so wasn't disapointed. Oooo and there's no hairdryers.

But would 100% recommend it to anyone we loved it there.

Stayed in all different Aparts & Hotels in Icmeler in the last 9 years, been going since 2001 twice every year.

But the only ones that have stuck on us have been the Celik aparts. Small and in the old village but not a worry for anyone as your still near everything and is a nice walk down to the main street through the old dirt paths or go down the right hand side through what is actually left of the old village
Apartments themself are brilliant. Family run and you couldnt meet a nicer family. Quiet at bar at night but i think everyone would maybe just have one drink then head down the main drag.
Restuarant within is amazing. Although the times i have returned the chef has been different but all the times the food is brilliant. I even started my own craze of cream of tomato soup last year. Every1 in aparts couldnt get enough of it.

10/10 deffinately :D

Efes Inn Hotel.

Rooms 9/10
Location 10/10
Pool 8/10
Staff 20/10

Don't think we will stay anywhere else again whenever we go to Icmeler (until we eventually get our own place in a few years).

hi we have booked to stay at efes hotel for 2 wks in september, have been advised that our room is on 3rd floor annexe but have heard from other people that 5th floor is better and air conditioning better on that floor, does anyone know if that is the case. Also grateful if anyone could recommend good eating places, never been to Turkey sowould be grateful for any information.

To be honest, as far as eating places are concerned, you'll be spoiled for choice in Icmeler. I can honestly say we've not had a bad meal in any of the places we're tried - and we've tried quite a few! There are lots of threads on the forum with recommendations for places to eat, but no matter what kind of food you like, you'll find great places to enjoy it in Icmeler.

Have stayed at the Efes about 5 times now and the only gripe would be the air con . BUT they had a fifth floor added a couple of years ago and each room had its own air con unit where as the rest of the hotel had centrally operated air con which was rubbish . You will be pleased to know that all rooms now have own air con units which is brilliant in the heat of summer . The hotel has a great position over looking the bay and the staff are excellent . The food is very good in the bar . You will love it .

I'm with Dodgy Dave, the palce was great before, but when we went last year, all the rooms had air con, and it made the place complete.

If you can get it, ask for the fifth floor, corner room with the massive balcony that wraps wround the entire corner.

You get an amazing view, and the balcony is big enough to have a party for 20 on lol.
