Sorry you cant go to Icmeler this year also. Certain things have to be sacrificed during this economic catastrophe. Lets hope things pick up soon as its affecting a lot of people.

I am sure you will have just as good a time in the caravan with the exception of the weather.

Happy touring holidays and chin up, you never know whats around the corner when least expected.

Haydn
I'm sure you won't be alone in your decision. In fact I was looking to book a Cornish camp site for the summer hols. many were already fully booked.

I've left booking my travels later than usual this year due to the the current climate but have decided to stop worrying and take the "Bull by the Horns" and book. I've decided "what will be will be", if things do go pear shaped I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it :?
The very best of luck with the weather on your touring holiday, I'm sure you will have a great time. In my opinion the UK is a great place to holiday if the weather is good, Just wish we could guarantee it.

Cheers
Rog

It's a shame you won't be visiting Turkey this year, but hopefully the country will pick up and you'll be back for a longer break next year!

I grew up with caravan holidays and they are so much fun, I hope the weather is on your side for it!

Hi there

I know exactly how you feel, for similar reasons we couldn't go in 2008 after being in Icmeler 9 times. I was very greatful to the peeps on here who posted their reviews and pictures, it did help make me feel close to Icmeler and I have to admit sad that I was missing our on all the fun and friends too. Thankfullly we are going this year, and I am sure when your situation improves you will be able to return once more. fingers crossed.

No Turkey this year

It doesn't look like we will be going to Icmeler, or anywhere else for that matter this year. OH has just started his own business so finances are already allocated to buying things like tools, a van and other important stuff.

Whats making it worse if that my parents have just booked for the time that we normally go. It's their first time and I really wanted to show them round. I think they got fed up hearing me go on and on about Icmeler and thought they should try it out for themselves.

I hope everyone enjoys their hols to Icmeler and I will be there if not in body then certainly in spirit!

To all of you who cannot go i hope you either win the lottery or manage by your own ways and means. If you cannot get there i promise we will all post piccies and reviews so you can all be involved. I am sure the other members will back me up. I am fortunate that I have a job which is not affected by the credit crunch. So good luck everyone and i hope you can get there by hook or by crook :( :( :( :(
