Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Ok, it's our silver wedding in June and we're hoping to spend it in Icmeler. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions re hotels. To date, we've stayed in a couple of smaller hotels and apartments, but this time, as it's a special occasion, we're maybe thinking of going all-inclusive. Anyone got any suggestions for hotels?

The Munamar didnt have balconies, but they appeared couple years ago so now its a 5*
I think since the "Joy" company invested in it and changed its name to the Joy

Joy sold out last year and the refurbed Munamar is now a really nice place to stay with great food and no idiotic animation teams running around the pool area blowing their whistles.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. Hubby had actually mentioned the Munamar, as he and son had a wee nose around there in October. We've never gone AI anywhere before, and one of the things which puts me off a bit is that people often say the food is pretty bad with AI. Does anyone know what the food's like in any of the places mentioned?

Ive just been on looking property sales etc its still for sale on, Redtek estate agents, but its only £16,000000 now

Ive browsed about a lot over the last few years and I think every property in Icmeler is permanantly for sale, including the "Chill Bar" under your feet , its only £36,000, + 36,000euro rent per annum

Do any others remember the name of the restraunt down a track to the left a few miles out of Marmaris past the council yard or whatever on the right where the tables are under the trees near the waters edge where you can feed the fish and turtles from your table ,we usualy go there a couple of times over the season for breakfast [true turkish style], every thing going and bloody good value, in a fantastic enviroment.
If some one can come up with a name ?
Might I suggest to Blondie it might be a lovely "morning after" , touch so to speak

All suggestions welcome, folks! As I say, we've never done AI before, but hubby reckons we should treat ourselves as it's a special occasion....

Peli that sounds like the cafe at the camp site near to where Rami used to live.

We used to swim and dive off the big rock just before it.

I can't remember the name so will look through some old photos for it

But the way to it is down quite a wide start to a dirt track, there are a few places down there the one I mean is the last one to the right just before the rickety ferry point and car park, its like a bloody maze down there I wish I could remember the name. " thats left me open to sarki comment "

If the cap fits

Hotel-wise, we went to the Marti on honeymoon and have been back ever since.

The food's not great, though (in our opinion, others disagree), and if we were thinking of doing the same we'd probably make sure we could eat out every night at all our favourites and then choose our accomodation based on what budget was left. I'm sure the treatment you'd get from all the restaurants if they knew would make it really worthwhile.

A few miles out of Marmaris just past the council yards and also the marina and boatyard is the place I was talking about and also where I thought you were talking about.

Azmak Basi is a restaurant on the river Azmak at Gokova/Akyaka and at least 30 mintes drive by car, absolutely nowhere near to the directions that you gave lololololol

Must admit, I'm liking Paul and Rosie's idea, as I love to eat out at different places while I'm in Icmeler, and we already have a few "favourites", as well as several that we haven't tried yet, but plan to.

Come on Peli we are getting dangerously close to getting a telling off from Colette for going off topic.
