Using another Hotel's facilities?

Postby Mulley » 08 Nov 2008 07:37

Hi all,

My sister has already booked for next year as we have but we are not staying in the same Hotel. Does anybody know if we could use their Hotel Pool etc. or vice versa? Not sure about this but I know some places can be particular about people using their Hotel when they are not staying there.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks - Jane.

As long as you buy drinks or snacks, they are usually pleased to have you use their pool.

Hi Jane

I dont think you would have a problem, as long as the hotel's are not A/I. We have used other hotels + apts pool's. As long as you buy drinks or snacks, you will be made welcome.

We've had friends come and use out hotel pool, as people have said just make sure you do buy drinks and snacks from them. I think the only time they are funny about it is when people from another htoel come in with bottles of water and food and don't buy anything and quite wrightly so.

I agree with what everyone has said, purchase drinks and snacks and normally no problem.

The hotel we stay in has a water slide and is an attaction for a couple of hotels close by, some families started coming in the afternoon from another hotel and no issue as they purchased drinks, after a few days the kids (Teenagers) of the families tried to come over on there own, they were immediatly told by the staff no parents no use of the facilities so they do keep an eye on who comes in.

Hi Jane, I assume you are booked for the Golmar again? There would be no problem your friends coming there to use the pool, my son and his girlfriend stayed at another hotel but came along every day to the Golmar, they did buy drinks and sometimes a snack lunch, and were made very welcome. Hope this helps. xx

Hi everyone and many thanks for all your replies. That should put my sister's mind at rest. The Hotel we stay in has a couple of water slides so its a big plus for my kids and will be a magnet for hers!
No problem about getting snacks and drinks there either - yes Dotty its the Golmar and we will try not to keep Ahmed and his lovely staff too busy running around after us. - he works so hard. Missed seeing you in August but hope you had a really lovely holiday x

Hi Jane, yes we had a lovely time in Aug/Sept. According to Ahmet he won't be there next year, think it will be Metin in charge of beach and pool. You never know maybe he'll change his mind. We're going in June & Sept next year, when are you going. x

Hi Dotty,

We are booked to go back in the May Half Term week and then again for the last two weeks of August. (Summer hols).
I think Ahmed told us he was not coming back again last year. Is Metin the lad that does the boat trips as well? He was sweet and seem to enjoy getting involved with all the kids round the pool (they loved it!).

We haven't booked the Golmar for August yet and wondered if it was any cheaper doing it through Kerim on his private e-mail - just wondered what you thought?

Hi
This may seem that I am being a bit of Victor Meldrew here, but I would not appreciate non-residents using all the facilities, ie the sunbeds. I for one would not be at all happy, if I was unable to obtain a sunbed due to them being used by non-residents.

Think the hotels are glad of the custom, plus with a big hotel you can just never tell who are guests and who are not.
