Best kept secret in Icmeler

I was amazed with the results of the best eateries that have been published because only one mentioned a real turkish eating place so here's a question for those who think they know Icmeler. The place has no name. It has no menu. It only serves one dish. The dish is a real turkish delicacy and when you admit you have eaten it your standing will rise dramatically in the eyes of Turkish people. :!: :!: Silverbeard and Suffolkpunch are banned from this topic

Lamb's intestines you say? I would give that a go. If you can eat haggis knowing what's in it you'll try most things. :)

Congratulations, the dish is called Kurzu Kokerec (with a twiddly bit under the c) which means seasoned grilled lamb or mutton intestines. It really is mouthwatering but dont tell your friends what it really is until after they have eaten it otherwise you may find yourself all alone. The place we used none of you have yet identified but I would be interested if there is more than one place.

I usually stop and get one on the way from Dalaman.

At one time it used to be at the start of the rise looking down onto Gokova bay but that place has since moved.

There was uproar a few years ago when the government tried to ban it as it wanted to try to emulate Europe in the no offal rule  (we have more offal than anyone)

Its that famous in Turkey it even has a song about it
