best bar - the Venice

Postby archieb » 08 Oct 2008 10:57

Our favourite has to be the Venice, we have been regulars here for 8 years now and love the place, the staff and the food..nothing is to much trouble for them. Im a vegetarian and i am always told order whatever you want and chef will make it. We have become friendly with Apo and are in frequent contact with him by text and mail. We overstayed our holiday by one day last year (honestly it was an accident!) after the guys had had a good laugh at us, Pasha(Fred) and Apo asked us if we needed money and as it was a Friday and we did not know if we would be able to get a flight over the weekend Pasha offered us accomodation in his villa. Dont think that would happen in this country. Just love the place and cant wait to go back next year again....jacqui :D :D :D

Well i have to say this year 3 dream bells was the best bar.Spent 10 of the 14 nights there. Tommy was fab every night he sent a car to collect us as hubby has a bad leg and took us home .Yes i know alot of bars do this to get your custom but even when we were walking passed tommy would offer a lift. The welcome each time we went in day or night was fab by all the staff everyone of them came to welcome you / say goodnight .Gets my vote this year.

My choice "Buffalo Bar"
Always the cheapest Efes.
Sugar is a Dynamic Singer on Karaoke.
Killer pool after music goes off is 2 lira per person and children get extra lifes and always seem to win
A family orianted bar with a cracking mine host.

Noels. Visited loads of bars and had a great time in them all, but every night once the boom boom stopped in we would go to Noels. Great laughs with the guys. Ate there a couple of times, lovely meals, no complaints. Leon is a good host. There's another post about being ripped off in bars - give you all a laugh - on a couple of occasions we didn't bring enough out with us to pay our bill - cos we had decided to have an early night (ha ha!). We would just say to Leon "can we pay tomorrow" (usually a couple of rounds worth of drinks - 5 people) and he would say "of course". We would go in the following night, have a few drinks, ask for the bill and the drinks from the night before were'nt on it. Being the honest folks that we are we said that we had drinks to pay and they would be added to the bill. Having said that I'm more than sure on a couple of occasions the drinks weren't even written down. Don't get me wrong, we did spend a lot of money in there, but obviously it was appreciated and the few drinks we didn't pay for were a thank you. Anyway you won't go wrong going in to Noels. I highly recommend it.

Have to say Richard's Place. They are just so welcoming and friendly and 'Richard' (Apo) gives us the best exchange rate in the resort.

I love the atmosphere and the vibrancy and the food is very good too. Also, we have never been overcharged there (reading the other thread about Romance Palace). It's definitely my fave bar. :D

Hi All

Noel's Bar is one of the friendliest I've been to, great food and entertainment, and always made welcome.

The one at the apartments, (whichever apartments we are staying at), that you can roll up to the bar in your swimwear and sarong and have the beer sat by the pool before you gird your loins for the massive effort to get showered and changed to go out for the evening meal
