ICR transfers

Postby booker » 07 Oct 2008 18:56

We're coming to Icmeler next may(09), we've booked with Thomas cook, but knowing that as we are stopping at the Julian Forest it will be nearly 3 hours hours or more before we arrive with other stops before us on the bus, I'm thinking of opting out of their transfer and paying to use ICR transfers, Is this recomended.

Thanks, more than likely will do as i'm bringing my parents with us this year and i think they'll appreciate the shorter travel time.

i would recommend always to travel from Dalaman by ICR i dont think i could go back to a bus load of people and having to stop at the "comfort stop" all we want to do is get to the resort as quick as we can... :D

I would definately not do a thomas cook transfer. Did one couple of years back, and it was terrible so long. And the pick up times are way to early they had us at the airport long before the check in desks were even open.

Hi Guys

We have booked to go with TC next year as well, but like you all say the transfer is way too long, how do you go about doing it, surely you have to see the TC rep when you get there and they tick you off their list and expect you on the coach, can someone help, oh and how much would it be for a ICR transfer for 2??, thanks :D

Plus the stop if we did was so over priced and they had us there for 20 mins. Is there not a way you can opt out of your transfer when booking, as I am sure some tour operators are now actually not including the transfer in the price, and it is actaulyl an extra that you can untick. Not sure about thomas cook though as not used them for quite some time. Infact I don't use tour operators at all now.

I used ICR transfers for the first time in August this year, the driver was waiting for us as we walked out airport although there was a wee bit of a mix up due to our flight numbers being changed. Anyway it was sorted soon enough and we were on our way, had the bus to ourselves and did stop for a quick 10 minutes, the driver asked us though and we were fine with it. Coming back we shared with 4 other people, the bus was like a sauna, again we stopped for 10 minutes which was fine with us as it was boiling we got off and got an ice lolly lol. Would use them again no problem as it's far better than the 3 1/2 hours it took us the year before using a tour operator
