Just been checking for flights for next year and noticed the child prices are the same as the adult prices,so checked on a number of web sites and they are the same, but if you book a package you get discount for children,Knew this was going to happen but not straight away, anyone else noticed, will have to rethink our holiday for next year now as there is or was a gang of us going.

Geovil -
Have you looked at H4U. They do package deals and you can get free kids places up to 16 year olds. Still lots of free child places left.

I've been looking at this and have found that even when there is a 'free' child price, they charge under occupancy surcharge in some cases. Have never got a reduced flight price for kids either

My daughter got returns flights this year with Onur Air £70 return. We booked the week after and paid £90 each return. However, the prices have shot up for 2009.
Bearing in mind the increase in flight only prices I think a lot of people who normally book flight only and sep. accomodation (like I did this year) might consider booking a package holiday instead. This way they can get free kids places. There are a lot of quite deals around
if you look.

HI Geovil
We've always paid full price for all our kids on flights - a travel agent once told me that often, it works out cheaper.........still trying to get my head around that one ha ha
My best advice would be, look around at flights and packages then just book the one that's cheapest all in - if the package is really cheap, forget their accom, but book it forget their accom and book your own with

As far as I was aware it's been like that for quite some time, unless the child is old enough to sit on the lap of the parent, then they must pay full fare because they are takeing up a seat.
I think package holidays do free child places because they want to target the familly market.
