We always go to the small area of beach where the dolmus park, the beds are free and the beach boy is very helpful and will bring you anything you need.

Hi peter
Deniz Kapisi, Harmany, or Liberty, bars
Are all located as far as you can go to the right facing the beach, around the bend toward the new marina
They are all proper resturants with all indoor facilaties and clean toilets
Their sunbeds etc are free all day and they will serve you on the beach with drinks even food if you want
The beuty of these bars is that you can go inside to have an hour or two in the cool shade and not bake all day!!

O.K Peter
Ive said this before on other threads a lot of people dont go that far and dont know anything about what its like round the bend !, they are always hijacked by the beach lads befor they get that far.
We swear by that part, it seems a bit more friendly and intimate
But even so every one has their own faverate spot.
Mine is the sunbeds next to the shower on the beach outside the Kapisi
Thats where a lot of the craic is

The beach in front of the Yakamoz is the best in my opinion.
Patrick Swayze and Ibrahim keep the beach spotless and tidy, the beds and mattresses are cleaned down daily, they'll keep you entertained and supplied with drinks, food and whatever else you desire.

There's also a nice sand bank here so the water's warmer!

We were there in August this year and loved the beach outside Linekers bar. Beach was kept really clean and the beds are free if you buy your drinks/meals from Linekers. 3 lads work all day bringing food/drinks to your sunbeds and it isn't expensive either. Rossy is in charge of the beach lads and is a real character.

Enjoy - John

Mazz, how far is the Yakomoz from Denis Kapisi? I am more of a pool person, but I like a few days down the beach, and I have read so much about Ibraham. We usually go to the beach at Denis Kapisi, but would love to try Ibrahams part.

I agree with you Mazz, Patrick is great on there, nothing to much trouble. Something quite funny happened on there actually. I'd dropped my sunglasses on the sand and as they fell they hit the table. I put them back on, and when the waiter brought my drinks he said nice glasses, I was like aww thanks. Only about 10 mins later I realised the lens had actually fallen out, and I'd been sitting there all that time not noticing becaused I was squinting to keep the sun out of my eyes. I felt abit stupid.

But yes it is my favourite spot on the beach, also they have free to use airbeds to go in the sea with.

Hi Reesy

Yakamoz is only about a 5 minute stroll from Denis Kapisi - just keep on the beach path which takes you past the big Joy Munamar hotel, over the bridge and it's just a little way on from there.
There is a small bazaar next to the Yakamoz/entrance to Ibrahim's bit of beach.

The problem is they actually were designer sunglasses, bought them from Harvey Nicks about 2 years ago.

I don't think so Peter, all I can say is that you walk past the man who is selling boat trips on the corner and it is further down that road near the dolmus. There is also a toilet & shower block at the side of the walk way.

I do think the beach beds that belong to certain restaurants are a good idea though because as someone said you can go into the restaurant to get some respite from the heat. We were going to try one but the beds seemed to be uncomfortably close together. I personally like a bit of space.

I would think you could do this anywhere, but to be honest I have not spent enough time down the beach to notice as we tend to spend more time at the pool.

I would think as long as you are not on the beach belonging to one of the big hotels, then it should be fine.

Think the problem might be finding a bit beach where there aren't sunbeds! Good luck

Beach

Postby archieb » 01 Oct 2008 16:45

we used the beach in front of the Yakamoz this year and would recommend, clean beds, fast drink service and the two kids folding the towels for us when we left was a nice touch jacqui :D
