Taxi prices go up after midnight to a fare and a half if memory serves me correctly.

we always go by water taxi. Its a beautiful little ride across the bay, they run every half hour and costs 7.50ytl each (each way). Well worth it though. If I remember correctly the last one runs at midnight.

Walking is actually a good idea. I used taxi and bus, but when you are there with a boy/girlfriend it would be so cool to walk from
Icmeler to Marmaris.

From memory the Taxi meter should have the word Gundoz on it meaning daylight, and charged accordingly.

When i was in
Marmaris 2 weeks ago,we went to
Icmeler a few times, just jumped on the Dolmus 2ytl and were there in no time. Think the taxis are metered to and from Icmeler/Marmaris and can be expensive. One of the taxi ranks in Marmaris had prices for airports etc on it and the only one that had metered was to Icmeler

make sure the driver has the meter on - we got stung this year (just the once though) when he plucked a number out of the air when we got to the apartments
we were kicking ourselves for not getting a price off him first or asking him to put the meter on
