XL Fails - ICR comes to the rescue

I have just returned from Icmeler today Monday 15 September. I should have returned last friday night with XL. At about 0830 (0630 UK time) on friday morning I got a call from UK to break the news about XL. Initially I got that horrible sinking feeling. I had booked the flights direct with XL and the apartment and transfer with ICR. I went straight over to the ICR office to be greeted by Donna and Rami. What then happend was a demonstration of truly exceptional customer service from the ICR staff . As you can imagine the fallout from the XL collapse would be significant. Well Donna and Rami were straight on the case looking for alternative flights. Rami called the UK office to speed things up, by now everyone would be searching for alternative flights. Within 20 minutes they had booked a flight back with another operator on the Monday 15 Sept, and it was less than £100.00 per seat. I have since found out that other people were being charge over £250.00 from local travel agents. They immediately re arranged the accomodation to extend until monday and the same for the transfers. I do not believe that I would have got such an efficent level of service from a large tour operator and I have dealt with many over the years. This is my third time with ICR and will not be the last. I would like to publicly thank all the staff at the Icmeler office for their assistance and patience during a difficult time. Oh and I got an extra two days holiday out of it.
