HI Jemini
I would double check "Tommy Cowboys" wieght allowance it sounds suspect to me, that is if you havnt already done so,
Also 30kgs is a lot in one lump to handle , besides the penalties you might impose, think of the guys handling it,
My thought are ,human nature being what it is, your case will get a lot more abuse than normal and incure a darned sight more damage on handling.
I would certainly split it.

They may of paid the package deal that TC have. They have a good package you purchase 5kg extra baggage, meals, seats together and it's pretty cheap , you save about £16 each way buying the all together.

They may have booked with Airtours before the take over as Airtours allowance was 20kgs. TC stated that any holidays booked before the takeover would get 20kg any booked after would get 15kg.
This happened in our favour back in June when we traveled.

Hi all,
We travelled back a couple of days ago and witnessed a few people that although they had paid for extra baggage they did not have it either printed on the tickets or the letter/email saying they had paid. The check in girl asked for paymet but after refusing because they had already paid they were let off. Another point seen was that if your cases were over the limit they would also weigh your hand luggage and then add that to the excess weight. (£8/kg )
So fellow icmelerites be careful because they are trying to squeeze more money out of you before you go home.

I just travelled home alone with TC on Sunday morning from
Dalaman airport, the rep on the
transfer bus told us that if would be 8/kg extra if we were overweight, I had paid for the extra 5 kgs weight but when I reached check in i was 20.9kg - didnt have to pay any extra and they werent weighing hang luggage whie i was there either so i would just put any toiletries etc in hand luggage if you think you will be over.

We were lucky coming home, we also flew with TC. We had paid the extra though. But we were well over, luckilly the scales weren't working so he was just putting them all through
