We are staying at the palm gaden apartments first time in Turkey and I'm thinking about the toilet rolls, because I've read a few things on this forum about toilet rolls. So do they supply them on a regular basis?

I wouldn't bother using valuable space to take your own loo rolls Avril as there are plenty of shops and Tansas supermarket sell them just like this country cheapies upto luxurious

Self catering apartments supply the first toilet roll for you, then as it is Self catering, you are responsible for buying the rest of the toilet rolls

We have always taken Toilet rolls not because it saves buying it when we arrive, but my job used to to a packer/despatcher and know that the weakest points of a parcel are the corners so we always pack a toilet roll in every corner of our suitcases it weighs next to nothing and when we get to our destination nothing is damaged but the toilet rolls are always crushed and nothing else, this only applies to soft bodied cases.

If you are going self catering that includes buying your own Toilet Roll, I always take my own as I work for a company that makes them and I like that extra touch of softness.

If you do buy Toilet Roll in Turkey please buy the Selpak brand which is out Turkish label it may help keep me employed, (Selpak is made near Istanbul)

Next we'll be taking our own sheets.

I've always found it ridiculous that we have to take our own or buy own loo roll.

It seems to be DIY type apartments that have this daft thing, But on the 2 packages I've been on, in Icmeler and Marmaris we never had to buy loo roll but all the DIY one's we've been on, we had to buy them.

Unless you have a really nice cleaner, you replenishes them for you.

Self catering is meant to be that we can cook (in a fashion) for ourselves. Some apts are only just getting round to providing toasters (godsend). Yet some provide hairdryers in the bathroom.

Tis very wierd and strange.

Good idea about putting 1 in each corner of suitcase.

The loo roll thing is a bug bear of mine, but never mind.

Its not just the DIY types that do this, I have just returned from a package deal and that was only the 1st roll that was supplied.

We went with a tour operator last year, stayed at Grand Aqauarium which exclusive to this particular operator at the time and we only got the first one free.
