Next years prices!

Postby sanjo » 16 Jul 2008 22:14

Just been looking at the price of flights for next year. I cant believe how expensive they are. :(
I looked on one web site four days ago and found a half decent price but was stupid and didn't book at the time. I have just looked again and the price has increased by one hundred and fifty pound in a few days
Has anyone booked their holiday for next year and are you paying a lot more for it?

Moral here is do not look for a bargain and if you see something that is reasonable then grab it before it becomes a luxury

I have also been looking for flights, missed out on the cheap flights with Onur Air this year, so I am waiting for Easy Jet to release their prices in December.

Why have prices doubled?!

Do firms release cheap seats beginning of the year?

we have booked to go with ICR next year but the 3 flight seats would be £1200!

thats only 300 less than our whole holiday this year!!

We have booked for next May and flights only cost £1000 for four of us. Have only paid a deposit and the way I see it is that I have got plenty of time to find the rest. Didn't think it was particular cheap compared to other replies but would imagine the price will just continue rise so tried to get in quick.

We've booked a package with a small specialist operator for next year. Because it was a low deposit £10 and its at the same apts we're going to this year. And its about similar price if i had booked things separately.
We're flying with Monarch next year.

Its the flights is the problem. With Aegean if you haven't got the money to pay all at once you're stuck, which I was, it was still coming out £800 ish in June for 4 of us. Now its about £260 each from Mcr.

I'll be watching with interest the Easyjet flights, unless its only from Luton they fly, which is no use to people up North.

I have found some flights with Aegan coming in at £370.00 for me and OH but your right you do have to pay all up front. I was going to book my apartments and transfers with icr now for next year and leave flights until later - call me stupid  but if I cant get flights for the same week I have the apartments booked for next year would I be able to adjust the dates with icr or not (I have not booked all separate before so I was a bit unsure whether it best to book flights first or apartments any help would be appreciated!!!!!)

If you book your apartment first then alter the date later on then you may not get the apartment you want.

Regular guests of ours have been booking the flights with me (pay up front) and also the accommodation at the same time but I do not take the deposits for them until later on in the year and in fact most of them pay after mew year when they have had a mail from us telling them that their deposit is now due.

So book your flight through us and also your accommodation but pay deposit on the accommodation next year

I'm happy now as I've just booked one of our flights for next year for £136 each which I thought was very good in this economic climate :D
