What's the best way?

Postby adewolves » 16 Jul 2008 12:26

We are going with first choice on 7th August. I read on here that the transfer can take up to 4 hours on the coach. I know theres a comfort stop on the way but I've also heard the prices on these stops are a rip off, same anywhere I suppose on these stops. What would you recomend as far as drinks are concerned for on the coach, bottles of water etc. Are they expensive in the airport at Dalaman, if so what's the best way to take them from this end I just dont want to be drinking hot water when I'm on the coach.

ICR transfers have free ice cold water , but if your transfer is included in your first choice holiday price, they usually sell cold bottles of water on the coaches, they were quite cheap if I remember. I had ICR transfer in May, but unfortunately have coach transfer included in our deal for next weeks holiday. It usually takes 2 and a half hours, but it can depend on drop offs etc. I'm using ICR again in September though. It's a much quicker journey, an hour and a half and you're there. :D

Thanks for the reply, that's put my mind at rest. Yes my transfers were included so although I've heard rave revues on the ICR transfers I didn't want to pay again if you know what I mean.

When you come down the ramp after leaving the airport you will see a kiosk selling cold drinks crisps etc, buy from here as they are quite cheap.

Same for me, but if you book a deal in the future that doesn't include transfers I'd highly recommend it. :D

We went in June with Thomas Cook and they sold cold bottles of water on the coach for £1 each, our transfer took just under 2hrs, we did not have a comfort break, mind you it was at night so not sure if that was the reason, transfers are a big pain but just part of the holiday experience I suppose :)

We arrive at dalaman at 04.55 so maybe they won't do a break for us either, if so I just hope theres a bog on the coach.

not sure if the comfort breaks have been stopped with some travel companies, we have never had one the last three times..? It was supposed to be during the night when you had one and we have travelled through the night every time...Thomas Cook sold water in April on the coach-2 bottles for £1
