The restaurent is about 200yards up from the Laguna Hotel and used to be called "The Black Rock" and was billed has having,
"The Finest View In The Universe"

It was taken over a couple of years ago and I am not sure of the name.
Vista Mar or Bela Mar something on those lines.

There are no toilets at the restaurent, when spending a penny you need to walk abot 100 yards to the public toilets, but no problem the views are worth a little walk.

Hi Neenie,
Have just looked at the video and this cafe is a fair walk out of lcmeler on the way to Marmaris and I do not know if they do cooked meals. But the views from this point are fantastic.

Hi Jean,
yes they serve lunches and meals at an evening time, music is of the easy kind, no loud pop music.
Beer is served in frosted glasses.
I would say it only takes about 35 minutes to walk from the restaurent to Deniz Kapisi at the other end of the bay.
So from the Canal your talking a fifteen minute stroll to the bar with the views.
Takes a bit longer coming back with the wife as I do like to stop underneath the stars and we gaze into each others eyes.

Hi Gene,
Thanks for the info, always nice to find somewhere else to go in the evening, will definitely give it a whirl in September. I know that we have stopped off there for a drink a couple times over the years on the trek into Marmaris. The eye gazing bit sounds good too.
Thanks for your quick replies both of you. We planned to walk along towards Marmaris and will probably have a call in there. Still need to know about quiet romantic places. We're not into loud music and dancing waiters and want to try Turkish food.
Hi Neenie:

You should try the Kerem. Although it's on the canal (which tends to be quite lively!), it is small, quaint, quiet, run by a lovely Turkish family and serves the most gorgeous Turkish food. If you don't know what to choose from the menu, they will ask you what sort of things you like and then recommend the dishes that they think you will especially enjoy.

Just browsing through all the flyers I pick up from the bars and restaurents and came across the name of the restaurent with fantastic views it is called,

"Cafe Del Mar"

I knew those flyers would come in handy one day.
When going past bars etc you always get one of these thrust in your hand, I save them all, got to start leading a normal life instead of living in fantasy land through the winter months.
