Turkish bath

Postby Bolton_Whites » 12 Jul 2008 14:28

Hello

We plan on having a turkish bath on our first morning, we are staying at the Selen 2 hotel, is there any turkish bath near by?

Will we have to pre book or just turn up on the day?

Thanks :)

Book through the ICR Office. You get far more than if you booked direct.
We had one of the best we have ever had and we have had a few.

Hi

I would suggest the Mersoy. Had a bath and massage here for £10 booked through Cheeky Bugger, Adam on the beach. Been there quite a few times now and it is one of the best. You can also just go along to the Mersoy and book direct.

Turkish Bath

Postby welshdoll3 » 12 Jul 2008 19:36

I have also been having a turkish bath the last few years and always at the Mersoy but after last year won't be going back, as being a woman on my own felt very intimidated and I'm a very strong outspoken woman normally. This has put me off and will certainly not be having one this year unless I can persuade hubby to come too

Went to the Mersoy last September.Didn't enjoy it,to much hanging around and pestering you to buy things and get other things done.

My parent's go to the big one in Marmaris.Brown dome sort of thing they love it there!

Turkish Bath

We went to the Turkish Bath at the Antique Palace in Marmaris - hubby and I together - no problems at all and it was a lovely relaxing experience and I would highly recommend it.

Mersoy
I was there also the massage guys where great it was just the photographer and the hairdresser that put me off there was no hanging about me and hubby where the only two there did let the hairdresser loose on my feet rubbish so glad i didnt get her to do my hair
too much you wanna buy in there

yes they did couples I would safely go alone with the massage guys but need a escort to say no to everyone else and im not the shy type

wondering if the galleria is a better option

we've only ever been to the Galeria so nothing to compare it with, but anyway..........
we were left on a hot slab for a while with a lovely glass of Turkish tea before the lady came back and washed us down, scrubbed us and massaged us
very relaxing experience and all for £10
we just went straight in off the street

would we go back? yes, but only at the start of our hol to get our skin scrubbed so we get a better tan

I've never had one in 5 years of visiting, bit worried about close contact etc, But I'd love to try it. Saw such a funny thread on this subject a while ago, video of a full massage! it was hilarious!
Just a bit of fun but I laughed so much, I will try and remember the thread name, it was brilliant.

I must pluck up the courage to try it, as two places have been mentioned in Icmeler. So Mersoy or Galaria then is it?
