When to Book Your Holiday

Postby waynesworld » 06 Jul 2008 22:06

After reading some of the posts it appears things are a little quieter this year.I plan to go later in the year,So I was wondering what advice I could get about how late to leave things. The problem is do you book soon and make sure or do you leave it late and risk not getting the best flights and accomodation OR wait and get a late bargain. When I looked a few weeks ago some companies were only allowing 15 kgs luggage and charging extra for another 5kgs but now they are offering 20kgs for the same charge plus meals and transfers,so it has been better waiting.
BUT how long should I wait.I am fairly flexible for late September or early October.

Thanks.

ICR's the best place to check with I reckon

I used to sell holidays and there really isn't a best time it's all about luck. Some people got great deals by booking early and others by booking late. I tend to book early mainly so I can pay it up, although prices for next year are already £250 more than what I paid for this year so I reckon if you think you have a good price then book whenever it is.

Thanks Andrea,I think you are right.Dont like the thought of next year being £250 more expensive than this year.

I agree with what Andrea has said. If I feel I've got a good price then I book it. After that I don't look again to see if the prices have changed to avoid feeling disappointed if I could have got it at a cheaper price.

If its late September then get them booked now as you will be sorry if you leave it to last minute.

That time of year is always busy and quite a few accommodations are already full.
