Kurt apartment area - 36 Sokak - plenty of bars?

Postby Boot » 02 Jul 2008 16:36

Will there be enough for us to do in the evening near the Kurt apartments or do we need to walk into town every night? We just like a choice of bars/restaurants and a few shops to browse but I'm worried it will be quiet and the walk back to our villa may be uphill - does anyone know 36. Sokak area ?

Hi Boot,
I think you'll have to walk into town for the restaurants and bars and a bit nightlife. There is a good restaurant/bar nearby called the deja vu, good meals, friendly staff and a bit entertainment. On the way into town there is the Wayside restaurant which always looked busy.

The walk isn't too far, we were at the Pinewood last year, which is beside the Kurt, and we walked (2 adults and 2 young kids) into town every day and night - takes about 10 - 15 minutes. We are going to the Celik this year which is next to the Kurt so the walk mustn't be that bad.

Cheers John

Hi Boot

I am just back from the Kurt Apartments on sunday.

Here is a list of bars etc nearby:

De Ja Vue (Usual entertainment, tina turner show, grease show, break dancers)

Sylvia's (Chinese food, 2 for 1 cocktails after 10pm)

Liverpool Chippy (Nice fish & chips)

Wayside (Nice food set in a rustic kind of theme)

There a few supsermakets, and there were more shops opening as we were leaving.

The town is only 10 mins away, but there are even more restraunts on the way to town, Kurt Apartments are not as far away from town as people may think, who aren't familiar with that part of Icmeler.

Thanks again Steve - you're helping me out a lot tonight!
Are there hills in that area as someone on here did say our Villa may be up a hill - that's a bit of a worry in that heat.

No they are on fairly flat land, I suppose there is a slight incline but nothing that will kill you :D

I think they are in a great location, because it's ion such a peacful area, but only 10 mins away from town, but you have enough things on your door step if yoou don't want to stray into town some night.
