Just a small warning. Our grandson (6 years) took a football in his hand luggage. No problem going out, but coming home they took it off him at Dalaman. Said it was a danger on plane  When we went onto the plane there was another football which had been taken from a small boy. Very upsetting for grandson :x

Strange, because my son took his football on holiday with him and we flew back from Dalaman on Sunday without any problems.

The air inside the ball will expand during the flight and burst.
Have you noticed how the air inside your packets of crisps expand during the flight.

Yeah funny you should say that about crisps. My son was mesmerised by the crisps blowing up on our way back home so much so that he decided he would prod that little bit too much....... yes you can guess what happened BANG luckily it was inside our hand luggage. Very embarrassing

seriously though, maybe we could leave them [footballs] at ICR for the orphanage before we leave?
