jeep safari dvd

Postby doublemorgans » 30 Jun 2008 04:47

went on jeep safari tues 24 june booked thru icr. had a great time so bought the dvd for 45lira. got back home to glasgow on thur nite. settled down to watch the dvd on fri nite, the 1st 7mins were ok which took us up to the waterfall, the dvd then repeated the 1st 7mins again then stopped playing. so for my 45lira all i have is 7mins of the trip. always a bit dubious about buying things like dvds abroad but thought as i had booked the trip thru icr and not 1 of the tour guys off the street it would be ok.
has anybody else had similar problems? boyfriend has sent emails to icr and the jeep safari people on fri but hasnt had any reply yet.

Seems a bit expensive 45YTL= £19
I am sure ICR will contact you as it is probably an independent photographer, but ICR will not want to be associated with another company that is not giveing a first class service.

Hi Double Morgans.

Firstly we have replied wiith an email on Saturday to your partner, and we have contacted Mustafa to aks if its possible to replace the DVD, we have since saturday also asked other customers if there DVDs are ok and yes they are. Mustafa will try to look back and locate another DVD replacement for you, and we will let you know accordingly. Today is Monday 30th, and i have personally sent another email to your partner to explain what we have done. Please appreciate that we do have alot of work to get through and we reply as soon as possible to sort out any enquiry or problems that you may have. Mustafa apologises for any inconvenience that this may of caused you, and will try to rectify the problem as soon as possible. 45ytl is the price that they are charging nowadays, this is independently sold by the jeep safari agency, i think 2005 yes we were lucky to get dvds for 15ytl, but prices in the last 3 years have increased wth many things, also please note that you are not obliged to purcahse the DVD this is purely an extra service that they provide if you want a memeory of the day.

Yeah, thanks for that Sharon. I am doublemorgans partner.

Have checked and I haven't received the email (checked trash also).

I had mailed Mustafa also but didn't receive any reply.

I have managed to get part of the dvd playing, but there is a mark on the disk which looks to be a manufacturing fault (i.e. before it was burnt), although the bit I have managed to extract was only 15 mins before it conks out. The first 7.5 mins are repeated twice (but the time goes up to 15mins meaning this is the way it was burnt/edited initially) and the dvd looks only to be around 25-30 mins long in total. Other folk had said there disk from last year was around an hour or longer.

I appreciate that the company don't force you to buy this, but then we had such a good time on the day, that I am sure you could appreciate our disappoinment when the disk doesn't work after spending nearly £20 on it.
I do appreciate you have a lot of work to do and Tracy and Donna never seem to stop in the office and are really friendly and approachable at all times, which is why I am sure we will get this resolved asap. Thanks again for a generally wonderful holiday and for al your help

Yeah that's absolutely fine thanks girls.

The day was unbelievably good and Marj (doublemorgans) is still talking about it now! She was vewry nervous at first but then abs loved it lol

I think that's why it was disappointing cos we wanted a memory of it :)

That and the all inclusive boat trip were the best parts of the holiday

Thanks again :)
