 As mentioned in a previous post (BEER) I managed to find 1/2 litre bottles of Efes for £1.39 a bottle. I know this post is a little late but I've only just recovered from a serious loss of some thing very close to me...........As it was a nice weekend here down on the south coast we decided to invite my Ma & Pa over for a BBQ. My dad, being a traditional bitter drinking man, was catered for as I bought him some good old Fullers London Pride and some Old Speckeled Hen (can't do enough for the old man can you) and my mother had her traditional bottle of vino, leaving me and the missus do devour the lovingly and long awaited chilled Efes bought the previous day. Then I made the most fatal mistake of my life.........I asked Ma & Pa if they would like to taste one of Tukey's best kept jewels.........Yep you guessed it ..........Efes. "My dad don't like lager" I thought so I was safe with this one, but did'nt want to be rude and not offer him the chance of tasting "probably the best lager in the world"....No it wasn't Carlsberg but I wish it was, as the bugger loved the Efes and downed 3 bottles of the stuff. Luckily Ma just had the one leaving the wife and me to polish of the rest. :D
Well I've learnt my lesson now and have realised that there are some parts of Turkey that mustonly be appreciated by those who have the good sense to go there :!:
