We have got some friends over this weekend who we met in turkey, I would like to make some turkish bread for them {the flat bread that rises into a balloon ?}. I have tried to make it in the past, but failed miserably.
Has anybody been successful in ther attempts, if so the ingredients and method would be greatly appreciated.

Here you go Andy and I hope you enjoy it.

O'h and I take it you mean the bread called Lavash

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 2/3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup shortening (I use Crisco)
1 egg -- slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup sesame seeds -- toasted
2 tablespoons poppy seeds

Sift flour with salt and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Cut in
shortening. Combine egg and milk. Stir into flour mixture, mixing well.
Dough will be firm. Let dough rest for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375
degrees. Sprinkle sesame seed on 4 baking sheets. Knead dough for 2-3
minutes. Divide dough into fourths; roll each piece to 1/16" thickness.
Place dough on prepared pans; brush with water and sprinkle with poppy
seed. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until browned and crisp. Break into
pieces and serve with butter. Makes 4 sheets.

I take it you mean Scouse.

There are probably loads of recipes but its how you make it yourself that counts.

You probably have your own stuff that you make and never follow a recipe but throw in what you feel like at the time well its the same for scouse.

Anyway what has that got to do with Turkey
