Think most of us got Nationwide cards
we just draw £stirling and change up in bars and supermarkets
Cant be doing with looking for good rates Just penny pinching aint it
Only got to ask what rate there going to give you if its low walk away go elsewhere
People you chat with "say" go here or there So we go with it

The only time you would get free cash withdrawals from an HSBC atm is if you had a bank account plus or premier account with them, maybe your account has changed? I used to be staff

You learn something every day, i didn't know you could draw sterling out in Turkey.

Many a time I think god how much is that, have I got enough in the bank.

Especially this year when hubby gets paid on the 15th whilst we're away.

when we were in icmeler in may i used nationwide card 8 times over the 2 weeks, you dont know what rate you get till you get back and then you have to work it out but on all of the 8 times i used it i got better rates than we saw around the resort. best rate we saw around was about 2.35 with the exception of the last night when wonderboys were offering 2.40 i got between 2.43 and 2.45 over my 2 weeks from the atm on my nationwide card from various atm's around the resort

Last year we used my hubbies nationwide card in bodrum and we got alot better rate than any of the shops.

After the first withdrawal we wanted to check this so the next day we found an internet cafe and logged on to our account.

If any of you have this option then why not draw lira and then see if the rate is better, if so you know you can carry on drawing lira if not then draw sterling.

It would be very rare to get a better in resort than you would get on an ATM, especially if using a nationwide card. You will usually get a better rate buying on resort than buying currency over here though.
