Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

We have been visiting Icmeler now for a few years and have always noticed that there is an old green Mercedes which has never seemed to have moved for many years. It is situated on the corner, near to the Lighthouse Restaurant. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know any history ? Quite a sad subject to talk about, but curious. If you look at the webcam you will see it..

Funny you should both mention that. I guess we have all noticed it and seen it in the flesh when we have visited Icmeler. It must be the most famous Green Mercedes in the World and I am surprised it is still running based on what age it must be.
I can vouch for the fact that it does run as I saw it arriving at its parking place once. The guy got out and walked to one of the jewellers down the street. The web cam by the way is high up on the wall, left side of the Chill bar as you look up the street facing the Appartments.

I thought you were with us when we found the webcam,but it must have been on the second Gene wave that we discovered were it was.
It is on,or near one of the balconies of the Iguana apartments,and when we were doing the wave,the family that were staying in the room by the webcam,were waving back to us,they obviously thought we were waving to them,bless them.after the wave,we were having a drink in Chill,and the family went passed and smiled at us,they must have thought we were loons

Btw the mercedse in question has not moved from that spot for at least 8 years.

There is another mercedes which is the double because i watched drive down the road and ran to the corner to check on the other to make sure it hadn´t moved.

John I can definately vouch for the fact that the car does move. On the occasion I am talking about, the parking place it uses was empty and I saw it actually arrive, pull up on the pavement and park, then the guy got out and walked towards the jewellers. Wierd or what !!!!

Norman are you really serious? When we were there in October the grass was growing all around the car and it was obvious that it hadn't been moved for years. Did you have one to many in the Chill Bar perhaps? Or perhaps I had one to many and imagined the grass growing around the car!!!!!
