Starting to unwinde

I am so ready for this holiday - 10 days to go and I can not wait !!!

Work just seems to be getting more and more depressing, I hate going in at the moment. All I do is count the days down till we're back in Icmeler soaking up the sun and sipping on an icey cold Efes and forgetting all about work for 2 whole weeks 8)

I've already got all our clothes ironed and ready to go into our cases, I've sorted all (well more or less) the sun lotions, medical box, and toiletries, I've just got to sort out what shoes/sandals we're taking and then it'll just be a case of packing it all the night before we go so we've got the day we go stressfree and plenty of time for any last minute running around if we need to.

I'm going to have to force myself into work all next week :(

Hi Beau,

I know how you feel. I go in 8 days time. I finished my last dayshift today, but I have to work Friday and Saturday 12 hour nightshifts. That is my work finished then, but I have a 2 day course coming next week. I meet at work at 6am Tuesday and I return home late Wed evening. Booked the Thursday off work for last minute cleaning.

I completed my packing on Monday, thankfully. This holiday cant come quick enough for me, but I guess before long, we will be settled on the beach in the glorious Turkish sunshine.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Hi Mary,

Works rubbish, I wish I could get paid for NOT going  then we could go to Icmeler anytime we wanted - would be cheaper to be out there to live than here

Ughhh two 12hr night shifts, you poor thing - I don't envy you.

I'm actually lucky this year I won't be covering the woman I work with before I go away, she usually books a week off before my holidays and goes leaving loads of work for me to clear putting me behind the whole week so I'm continiously chasing my tail getting all stressed out the week before we go. I think I'll go in for 6am the Friday before we go and get out of there as soon as I can - giving me plenty of time to get into the holiday spirit.

I know we're going to have a brilliant time - bringing my parents with us this year - they're Turkey virgins so we're hoping they fall in love with Icmeler like we did last year - I'm sure they will.

Beau,

I am sure your Parents will love Icmeler the same as we all do and will be returning time after time.

Hic, this wine is going down a treat.

I dont want to wish too much for it to be a week Friday, or the holiday will be over before I get there.

Anyone else get feelings like this?...............

I have only felt it tonight because my dayshifts are finished.

Just the dreaded nights now.

Holiday mode has definitely hit me tonight.

I'm sure it is purely psychological, but when I'm on my last week of counting down the days left at work, before going to Icmeler, I begin to feel physically exhausted, and start to wonder if I can do the next few days. It happens every time.

Then when I have to go back to work I really get the 'blues' , and each time it gets worse :(

I blame the Turks.

If they were not as nice to us, didnt make our holidays so memorable, were not as friendly, didnt have nice restaurants, didnt go out of their way for us, didnt spoil us rotten, then there would be no need to go back.

But luckily for us, they are wonderful people and we MUST return each year (sometimes more than once) to visit them and have another fantastic holiday.

Roll on next Friday.
