Marti work being carried out.....

Just had a phone call from firstchoice and they've said that they have building work going on until 7th June, this work was meant to finish earlier, so the indoor pool is affected and the some of the rooms in the hotel! They said that noise would be kept to a minimum, i'm scared now? Anyone been there seen works, going on? How bad is it? xxx

I thought that the local council enforced that all building work had to be completed before the start of the season or suspended until the end of season perhaps admin can confirm

Normally yes.

We have had bookings for the Marti unconfirmed for May so have had to offer the likes of the Aqua or Munamar to these bookings.

I have not got a clue when these alterations will be finished

firstchoice said 7th June, they said the work was meant to be finished before but has overrun, they are putting in the windows now and the building work is in two blocks and the indoor pool is closed, everything else is as normal. I don't think they will cancel our holiday (well i hope not) what do you think? x

minimal work going on- i called them and asked what work was going on. They said they were working on some rooms but the standard rooms have all been finished, new carpets, tv etc... really looking forward to it, 10 days to go wooohooo! x

my mate and his family wanted the marti, but icr got them the aqua instead and they loved it

stayed at the Marti before and cannot fault them brilliant! Fantastic location too, friendly staff, fabulous foods, and just beautiful x

I have stayed at The Marti before when it was being worked on and there was no disruption. We do not use the indoor pool so no probs there. I am glad they have done all the rooms as that was the only let down in a other wise fantastic hotel. We are going again this year for our 5th time.

Hi all,

This was still going on when we we're out at the end of May, but as we're back again in a few weeks (29 sleeps ) I was wondering if anyone could let us know whether it was definitely done now?

We stayed in the Marti from the 27th July 08 and our room had not been upgraded. We were in the 500 block overlooking the tennis courts and gym.
