hi can anyone tell me the name of the bar run by mehmet last year on the corner just up from the florida cheers davey

Do you mean Mehmet who used to work in the Venice? If so the bar is called the Korsan.

Diva bar has a pool table and big screen, I cant think of any others near Florida that has a pool table! Korsan doesn't have one!

I think the place your thinking about is the Holiday Restaurant which is run by Mehmet who does wear glasses at times over the last couple of years. The restaurant is down the road from the Florida then left. Big screen , pool table , a place I have visited many times. Mehmet is also known as the Pancakeman.

We have not been in touch with Mehmet for a few months. Last year he was thinking about selling up & moving to the UK, but that is not happening & I hope he will be in Icmeler as usual when we go at the end of June.

Its a shame that Mehmets place is a little off the beaten track, he deserves a bigger clientel , the foods good and well priced, the place is never full which suites us but as Mehmet tells me from time to time he is barely keeping his head above water at times . Hopefully this year things will get better as Mehmet is a great guy & we wish him well.

His good looking younger brother ( so i am told by the females ) is called Ali, last Sept he was doing his 18 month Army stint therefore not sure when he will be back. Mehmets other right hand man is called Omar.
Anyway, we go on the 29th june for 2 weeks and may see you at the Holiday restaurant.

The only Bar I know round the corner, passed the steps to ICR is the Antik which has a pool table & a swimming pool at the back ,the name Ozzy rings a bell.Last year the Bar seemed very quiet.

The Antik also had a spell when it was called "The Lost Boys"
I was speaking to Ozzy in April they were just getting the pool area and bar ready for the coming season.

I would be sad if it`s true that Memhet might have sold up.Over the last couple of years myself wife and daughter have spent many a relaxing hour in his resturant. I had my 50th there last year and nothing was to much trouble. can anyone who is going shortly let us know if he is still there. Thanks Garry

I have tried to contact Mehmet at the Holiday Restaurant asking how things are in Icmeler. If & when he replies I will let you know what is happening.
