Does anyone just come back from Icmeler know the current rate over there. Seems to of droped to about 2.45 here and not showing much sign of movement.

Exhange rate is on the ICR home page at 2.6280 ytl to the pound.

The Turkish bank is showing 2.4968 see http://www.tcmb.gov.tr/yeni/eng/ İNGİLİZ STERLİNİ. For some reason the currency markets since the 18th April have devalued the pound against the lira where it has got stronger against other currencies.

Last week, the change office by the green car varied from 2.4 to 2.43 to 2.47. When we went through Gatwick a week ago, we got 2.45, so not much difference for once.
