Drink on turkish flights

We are flying with freebird a turkish airline.
My friend says they dont have drink on turkish flights?
is this true

We've never flown with Freebird but both Onur Air and Pegasus sell alcohol, so don't think you should have any problem there, after all they want to make as much money as possible.

We flew with Freebird two years ago and they did serve drinks then they we also very good on the customer care side would fly with them again

I have also flown with Freebird and the drinks were flowing... wouldnt be able to fly otherwise.

I flew last year with Onur Air, the Efes wasn't very nice though, it was in a tin can and yuckkkk

Never flown with Turkish airline before, but I couldn't fly without a drink. Not that I am scared of flying, far from it,because I've had flying lessons. But having a drink on the plane is my way of getting holiday of to a start.

I have flown with turkish airlines many times, and all the food and drink is included in your flight price, they do 2 bar runs, and dont try and sell you things all the time, like Thomas crook do (sorry Cook!)

There is lots of leg room, and on my last trip with them, about an hour before landing, people kept coming past me from the galley at the back with drinks, so i went to investigate, and there was a male steward sat on a stool eating his dinner, and on the worktop behind him was botlles everywhere, Vodka, beer, soft drinks, you name it! and everyone was helping themselves! and that was after the 2 bar runs earlier! Best flight Ive ever been on... Hic! Can you imagine an english airline letting you into their galley (Not!)

Interesting that, Thomas Cook tried to charge us extra for meals, but decided not to bother, however we are flying with Pegasus so will see what happens.

The only time I've come across no alcohol being served is on an early morning flight (like 6am take off) - not that you'd really want a vodka with breakfast..... well maybe you would!!

I've had a few occasions (Onur) where they've run out of certain spirits, but that's been flying out from the UK, I guess as they're Turkish airlines they only stock up in Turkey.

We went with freebird last year, it was a joke, we left from Birmingham and had to fly up to Edinburgh to drop of the passengers already on the plane home then pick up the new people then straight to Dalaman. Was so glad we had that on the way and not on the way home, we just wanted to get to our beds.

We wasn't told about this divertion until a few days before and that was only because hubby noticed it the flight times said it was a 6 hour flight LOADS of people at the airport didn't have a clue - the Edinburgh lot on the way home had a nice suprise, they wasn't aware we'd had the same happen to us on the way out there.

The food was awful but the soft drinks were refilled several times - told the air hostess we can't get cherry juice back home so she gave us 2 extra cups each bless her. The staff were faultless.

We luckilly took sandwiches and they were a god send.

Flying with Onur this June, and as far as we're aware there's NO food or drinks being served ?? Surely there's got to be soft drinks served - does anyone know ??

beer, wine, soft drinks coffee, tea and sandwiches are all on sale on Onur
flights.
You can also buy duty free.

Thanks Gene for that bit of good news about the in flight drinks. Beau had me worried for a while then as we're flying with Onur on the 4th of august. Couldn't handle a 4 hour flight without a couple of drinkypoo's to get you in the holiday mood...

Beau we have got a diversion on the way home to Edinburgh, via Aberdeen flights long enough with out going up there.

I wish all airlines did what Jet2 do. Just come back from benidorm. You can't prebook your food, but once you take off you can choose from 2 hotmeals it was sausage and mash, or you could of had a hot breakfast sandwich, or there was a choice of cold sanwiches, also chicken pasta salad, and was reasonably priced aswell.
