Asda have an eye mask and ear plug combo pack in their travel section - (they've got loads of other great travel stuff too) that might come in useful?
Or failing that, a Hubby/Wife BF/GF with nice comfy shoulders to rest your head on and snuggle up to
We fly out at 11pm to go - won't be landing till about same sort of time as you. I'll probably have a read and try and tire my eyes and snuggle up to Hubby and try and sleep - my only worry is keeping everyone else awake with my snoring

g2fas - you will love the flight its great fun I think its part of the excitment of your holiday. Anyway have a great holiday you will get the bug
truth - Just try and relax as much as you possibly can. Last year we had a 6a.m. flight going home so we were up all night. Didn't get any sleep on the flight as had two kids laid across me so you can imagine what state I was in by the time I went to bed after been up for 35 hours!!!!!

After a 9 hour delay at Manchester 10pm til 7am! and 2 kids under 5 was still buzzing to go. The cold on the plane is bearable and wait til the heat hits you at
Dalaman it's like nothing on earth, we had a 3 year gap so was extra special. Happy Hols.

Meant to say, we always wear our light hoody jackets - we only use them on the plane as a cover or as a pillow.
Tie them round our waist or put them in our flight bag when not in use, always good to have for the car ride back home too in case it's chilly.

We flew late night twice last year. Just keep yourself busy in the day, youll sleep at night on plane. All depends though, as first time flyer you may be abit warey. But nothing to be scared off. Just get a drink sit back and relax and hopefully you'll sleep all the way there.

OMG sleep on a plane

I wish I could, but I don't enjoy flying and I'm far too jittery to try. I have my iPod plugged in as soon as I can, to try to take my mind off it.
Any advice for nervous fliers, other than a Gene sized measure of alcohol... that just makes me feel aweful???

As I said nothing to be frightened off. Just remember any noises you hear it's simply the electronics moving the ailerons on the wing.

If you are on our flight I wouldn't worry about noises if I doze off,all the passengers will hear is my snoring.

We have a night flight and Ann has gone and bought Andre a small cushion to rest his head on while sleeping, its better than a jumper.
Some flights dont have those free pillows and blankets also when we ask they all seem to have gone.
When we went in March we saw a few people walking round with large pillows and carrying them onto the flight.

some airlines sell comfort packs now (another way to squeeze more ££££s out of us grrrr) but they are only around a fiver - blanket, neck pillow and eye mask so good enough value? I take mine in my hand luggage and a few beers before we leave
Icmeler makes sure i'm asleep most of the way home
leaving
Dalaman at around 5.00 am is a fantastic way to see the sun come up over the mountains as you take off - makes coming home a bit easier and a great memory to hold until you go back

I take my blow up travel pillow. I dont usually use it on the way going to Dalaman, but after 2 weeks in resort of late nights and early rises, it gets well used on the way home. I even have to be woken up for food.

Thanks to all of you for the replies i have purchased a slightly larger
flight bag and i intend to put my squiggy pillow my micro fibre towel will act as a blanket my Archos with my favorite film on plus some music as
well if that lot does not send me to sleep well nothing will.
