We were thinking of going to
Icmeler the last week in October. We are tied to school holidays as grandaughter starts school in September.
When does every thing actually close and is it worth going that late.
What's the weather like I have been first week in Oct and weather was fine, does it change very much.
Any info
thanks Margaret

Hi tinkerbelle. We have been the last two weeks of october before. The weather was still great. It is strange as you get towards the end of the season and you walk past a restuarant one evening and its open and then the next day its all closed up.I personally think its a great time of year to go.Less hustle and bustle.

I agree with Mark. It is one of my favourite times of year in Icmeler. A lot quieter and the weather can be changeable to say the least but there is a very relaxed atmosphere. No one is rushing about and there isn't the same urge to lay by the pool you normally get and you will see a lot more as you will explore further. The main bars and restaurants will still be open. Last year we went the last week in October and it rained about 4 of the 7 days but still had a great time.

Thanks for your answers. The problem is our little grandaughter is beach mad and that is where we would be spending most of the days. If we were on our own the bars are fine for a rainy day but not with her.
Thanks again Margaret

Hi Margaret
The beachboys will be packing the beds and brollies away for the Winter towards the end of your stay, but if you're lucky with the weather like we were a couple of years ago, they leave just enough beds for you at the water's edge and you'll have the whole beach to yourselves
Hope you're as lucky as we were with the weather! It was bizarre flying home on Halloween though!!
It gets very cold at night though so remember to take fleeces/jackets - our youngest was 9 and was ordering cups of tea in the restaurants to hold just to warm up ha ha
A few of the bars have patio heaters and wood burners to keep you warm
Am sure you'll have a ball.

we went the last week of the season last year half term week, and it was very cold and very very wet for 5 days, so i would not have a holiday at that time of the year again, most places were closed. This year october break is later.

Hello we always take our grand kids away and the schools let them have 2 weeks a year off for holidays
But you can not take them out off school in the months of May and September other months are fine

2006 and 2005 I never left the resorts until about the 4th November and weather was beautiful.
Last years weather all around the world was very freaky so I wouldn't rely on it being cold and wet again at the end of October
