Booked last year for two years. Stayed a week. We disliked the fact the they were the barest apartments we have ever stayed in anywhere. £ 35 a week! for aircon and hard plastic sunbeds with no cushions. We had to move the bed to get into the wardroom.

Too far out for us we were forever getting taxis and spent most times in other pools. We gave it a try but and asked to be moved but Thompsons accom is all out the back of Icmeler so we found a nice apartment closer to where we wanted to be. Holidays are too short to not be what you want. Not for us.

We stayed at Pinewood last year. We thought the room was OK, it faced the pool and was in a nice position.
We didn't stay around the pool very much because as someone said before they had no cushions on them and were very uncomfortable, you couldn't lie there all day because of this. We used to go to the beach.
We didn't mind the position of the Pinewood because we like walking and exploring. We felt they were within walking distance of the main road in Icmeler.
We also felt under pressure to eat there and they were always asking you to eat there.... very polite and not rude at all but we don't like eating in the place we stay all the time.

We also stayed at the Pinewood last year. Have to agree about the sun beds...they are dreadful. Pool area manic with children! Apartment was basic. Very few kitchen utensils. The shower had a curtain that stuck to you, and no matter how hard you tried to stop water escaping, the floor ended up wet. Poor quality towels, only changed every three days. We had the same problem about moving beds, because the bedroom was so small. Bedroom door could not be closed because the bed was in the way. Beds had to be moved in order to access the wardrobe and safe. The plastic table and chairs had to be moved inside or out depending on where you wanted to eat/drink. Like others we went and use other hotel pools. The apartments are kept clean as are the gardens. We did not feel under pressure to eat there. Sorry to be so negative, but I did see lots of nicer places.

Stayed at pinewood in August 07, we all had a great holiday and the apartments were of a good standard. They are clean and tidy and have everything you need for a family of 4. Pool is excellent and a good size too compared to others we saw in Icmeler. Loungers don't have cushions but who cares - you only spend 20 mins on them inbetween swims and playing with the kids. oh and the kids round the pool - well it is a family holiday after all

We felt no pressure to eat there but if you do the food is lovely and cheap too. The bar's not expensve and they change money at reception on one of the best rates we saw all holiday. Staff all friendly and the owners keep the place spotless. We would have gone back this year in August but the price was a bit steep so booked at the Celik instead which is right beside the Pinewood.

Don't worry - you'll have a great holiday at the Pinewood.

Cheers John

Hi CourtneyJade,
We are going to the Celik on the 2nd of August for 2 weeks. There will be 9 of us - my family of 4, my brothers family of 3 and my mam and dad.

Will probably bump into you as we will be popping into the Pinewood as the Turkish cooking nights are good value and the food is excellent.

Hope you have a good one - John
