Think someone said it didn't run anymore. :( Wish it would. The one in Albufeira was a great way of going between the new and old towns. :D

last year people said it had stopped because the taxi drivers complained it took custom, so i dont know if that is true or not.

Its a pity if it is stopped, was nice and relaxing way to see more of Icmeler, i know we can get a dolmus or even walk but there was something more to it on the train

The train stopped 2006 and the reason was taxi drivers were not happy as people were using them as a taxi between the old village and the beach so they approach the council, to see if the train could be stopped. I saw the train moving farm goods on a trailer last year.

I heard the train was retired after a serious accident happened, killing the young lad who worked on it.

Yeah like Collette, I heard that there had been a serious accident which is why they retired the train. Shame, I think everyone misses it!

I also heard that there had been a serious accident, although, call me cynical, I didn't think the Turks were into Health and Safety, in a big way?? :(

Yeah I heard that one of the young lads got killed while he was jumping off it a couple of years ago. I'm sure there was a thread on this last year.
