Not sure about the rates in turkey, but I know that the exchange rate for turkish lira over here is about 2.50, it's gone up very quickly and hopefully will keep getting better.

I normally only get a small amount over here so it is not worth paying the delivery charges to home

Exchange rate here today (10/4/08) is:
2.43 at Post office
2.44 at Currency express
2.39 at the Co-op

We usually only convert £100 to get us started then get the rest exchanged in Turkey at a better rate

Womble.

Steve is telling you that you have made a mistake and just correcting you as you may remember that when you first started viewing the forum (before you asked questions) you may have took your quote as correct then spotted it in the high street higher than that and bought a load.

You would have then landed at Icmeler and been dissapointed when you found you had a better deal there.

It may be better if you correctyou post to bring it up to date with current rates.

Also I wouldn't bother with taking euros.

The people from the UK use Sterling so the only people that may take euros would be from Europe and then I would get the things changed in their own country before leaving as THEY would get a better rate.
