Passport help!!!!

Hi Icmelarians. Just looked at our passports and they ran out in Feb. We dont go to Icmeler until June but will we have to start from scratch with a new one? We were also tols that, when you renew a passport you dont have to have the back of the new pic sighned,anyone know what i need to do. Plenty of time i know but i was a little confused as usual :lol: Happy hols. Jem xx

I think you will find that you do have to have the back of your photo signed, I paid the extra five pounds (as it was then) to have it all checked at the post office and they sent it off and expedited the matter got everything back well within a fortnight. They check that the picture is o.k. and everything filled out correctly. They rejected a photo at the counter and had to do it again, wrong colour background!! But at least it was done there and not having to have it all sent back and then back again.

Just had mine done recently did not need a signature on the back as I had not changed much, I paid the extra at the post office which was well worth it and had mine back within 4 days but it depends what time of year you get it done

I have just renewed my passport, infact it arrived yesterday as I knew it was going to run out for my holiday in june. In the passport forms it says if you have already had a passport and you are renewing it your new picture will not need signed if your old passport and new passport picture still looks like you, so if you got your passport when you were 14 and are now 24 you would look very different right? well my passport picture was like that and I got someone to sign my picture.

So basically if your new picture looks nothing like your old picture it needed signed.

Also it took two weeks for my passport but I didnt pay for any extra as I wasnt in too much of a hurry for it, usually an take up to 3 weeks if they are busy
